Our Channel Presales team enables our Channel Partners & Channel Teammates to successfully sell and use Egnyte products. Egnyte has aggressive goals for Channel growth, and the Channel Sales Engineering team is a key component.
WHAT YOU’LL DO (but not limited to):
- Be a strong customer advocate into engineering and work with your VP & Sales Engineering leadership peers to be a stakeholder in product roadmaps and execution priorities, strongly advocating on direction and focus.
- Monitor key metrics relevant to the efficiency and efficacy of our Channel Sales pipeline & goals
- Work with your Direct Sales Engineering colleagues to establish and oversee technical enablement for the Channel Sales Engineering team
- Direct management of the Channel Sales Engineers (both MSP & VAR)
- Oversee Channel SE onboarding and enablement efforts, keeping them closely aligned with direct SE onboarding & enablement.
- Coordinate closely with the Channel Support & management teams to ensure smooth handovers of new partners & clients
- Directly support top-tier Strategic Channel Partners in their needs and growth utilizing the Egnyte platform
- Be a key input to the development and ongoing growth of the Channel Partner Program (policies, systems, etc.)
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
- SaaS sales experience in the B2B software sector, ideally in the computer security industry
- MS/BS degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred. Strong technical knowledge related to computer security, data science, analytics, distributed cloud computing
- 5+ years’ experience managing pre-sales organizations; demonstrable success managing first line managers, and senior technical specialists
- Strong executive presence, ability to effectively interact with executives internal and external to Egnyte
- Strong industry relationships at the CIO and CISO level
- Strong followership at all levels of the organization (individual contributors, 1st and 2nd line managers)
- Strong organizational, project management and time management skills.
- Proven leadership skills in the ability to recruit, mentor, coach and develop employees. Strong performance management and team building skills
- A bridge-building communication style, with excellent written and verbal skills, to collaborate proactively with the many teams at Egnyte on which the success of the role depends
- Experience using sales forecasting tools and driving good sales forecasting hygiene from sales engineers. Ability to inspect technical activity and to discover, report, and help address areas of technical risk
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Must have the ability to deliver concise, logical, written documents and email communications, and to present cogent, well-thought arguments and summaries
- Self-starter with experience working in a fast-paced growing enterprise, while demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit
- Industry Security Certifications are desirable
- Experience working in a target driven environment, and the ability to work towards deadlines and in a fast-paced environment. Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong ambition and an appreciation for “reach” objectives, where the goal is to make a maximum impact with minimum resources
COMPENSATION:
- Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across multiple U.S. geographic locations, and pay varies based on defined markets. The standard base pay range for this position across the U.S. is annually. Pay varies by work location and may also be dependent on job-related skills, knowledge, and/or experience. During the interview and/or hiring process, your recruiter can share more information about the compensation package specific to the role and job location.
